Accessibility Fund

Support us in making wilderness medical education accessible to more people!

As part of our commitment to Collaboration + Respect + Safe Learning, we are always striving to make our classes more accessible.

Historically, there have been many barriers to wilderness medical education that have hindered access to this life-saving education. MEDIC balances paying our staff a living wage, keeping our expenses down and keeping our classes affordable. We have been able to offer some discounted classes to individuals and groups that need it, but we continue to receive more inquiries than we are able to meet.

We have created the MEDIC Accessibility Fund to grow our ability to offer scholarships to individuals who need them, particularly people who have faced barriers to wilderness medical education historically and/or presently (see our statement on equity). This fund will help us offer the class to more individuals, and also to aligned groups; growing the number of people who are able to respond to medical emergencies with competence and confidence.

If this vision is compelling to you, and you have the financial means to contribute to it, we invite you to donate towards growing our Accessibility Fund. These funds will be used for increasing access to people facing barriers to receiving traditional wilderness first aid education.
