Endorsements

Below please see the various endorsements of the MEDIC SOLO Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certification courses.

American Camp Association

satisfies the requirement for when access to EMS is more than 30 minutes

American Canoe Association

approves our 2-day dtWFA course to satisfy the First Aid requirement for Instructors, Instructor Trainers, and Instructor Trainer Educators. Wilderness First Aid is most applicable as it teaches how to give care when you're along a waterway with perhaps no easy road access nearby, and perhaps no cellphone service. Basic first aid courses, on the contrary, assume you can dial 911 and have an ambulance arrive at the patient within 10 minutes. WFA teaches you how to save life and limb anytime, anywhere the ambulance won't be at the patient so quickly.

American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) Single Pitch Instructor (SPI)

At a rock wall location where injury occurs, from time of injury until time the patient treatment and evacuation are complete and patient has arrived at a hospital, if all that will be more than an hour, then at least Wilderness First Aid certification is needed. It is up to the individual to decide if they want to step up to Advanced WFA, or the 9-day Wilderness First Responder course.
